Not bad at all

Without a doubt the best part of this tune was your playing. Everything was played cleanly and sounded crisp. I'm also glad that you're panning your tracks now. The only part of the song that is really lacking would be the drums. They are quite boring since they really don't progress at all. This song could be a lot better if you could get a nice beat going. They were fine for the intro section, but when they just kept going like that it got old pretty quick. Maybe bring them up a bit more in the mix as well?

Other than the drums though, you did a great job with the tune. Keep it up

jdh504 responds:

Thanks a lot man, yeah I'm gonna have to remember not to keep the same drums throughout one song, I might update it with different drums, I'll see what I can do with it, but thanks a lot for the review, appreciate it.

Nice

Overall it's a really cool idea, and obviously you can shred your balls off. The only thing that really bugs me is your drums, and that's because I like to have the kick stand out a lot more. Oh well, anyway man, it'll be cool to hear the final version.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man! I agree with you 100% on the kicker, i'll be sure to keep that in mind when i'm mixing lol.

Not bad

Not bad at all. Could use some better samples, but it was pretty cool. The synth was pretty decent. Although it would have been cool to hear it pick up speed or something, and the synth was a bit quiet. Oh well, overall a cool tune.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks alot man! You must have just left this review, cause it wasn't there, when I replied to Sines review.

I rather liked the samples in this. They aren't as punchy..because that took away from the choir. I was gonna put the more punchy better samples in with the synths...but then...I would have been spending way too long on techno. haha. I did want to build it up some more..but really no idea how. haha. I just wanted to see what I could do without my geetar. hahaha. Glad you like it man. And thanks for the review!!\m/

Nice

Though I can hardly hear the kickdrum. Other than some problems with the drums you mixed this very well. The guitar's sound great, I'm guessing you're loving the PODxt? Anyway man great playing. So in the end I guess it's pretty much what Rucklo said.

DarKsidE555 responds:

Yeah yeah, good old kickdrum. You know why. :P

I like the new sound but I'm currently jealous about your's. Have teh mercy! :(

Well in the end I guess it's pretty much what I said to Rucklo...sooo...

COCKBOMB! >:(

Hmm

Well, overall it wasn't too bad, the vocals were decent enough. The mixing seems a little off though. The drums were really quiet, and your guitar sounded a bit out of tune. On the plus side you can get a decent guttural growl going. You also seemed to play in time well. The track could use some polishing, but not too bad man.

professor-aggressor responds:

Thanks for the review dude! I'll do another mix of it before i put it up on myspace

Not bad

The intro riff reminded me a lot of Black Sabbath. Once again though I could hardly hear the drums a lot of the time. They definitely need to be more present in the mix. You should try double tracking your guitars and panning them left and right. What you were playing though was pretty sweet, and you can most definitely play well. Overall it was cool, but could use some work as far as mixing goes.

jdh504 responds:

I see what you're saying about the drums, I always thought they were really low, but I'm gonna try and see if panning the guitar tracks work so I can make the drums louder without losing that much quality, thanks for the review :).

Well

The intro was way too long, but when you finally kicked in with the main section of the tune it was pretty cool. Now the mixing seemed a little off to me. Mostly when you started soloing though. The drums suddenly got really quiet, and I could barely hear them. Other than that though it was a pretty cool tune, but could use some tweaking.

Oh and your tone sounds fine to me, it doesn't really need more bass. Though the song would sound fuller if you could get a bassist to record with you.

jdh504 responds:

Thanks for clarifying on my tone situation, I'm not much of a heavy bass type of person in my songs in most situations anyways. I'll have to check on the drums and see if the volume was lower, it could've been due to the fact that I had about 3 guitar parts playing and the drums, and the audio tends to get a little screwed up when I have too many things recording. Thanks for the review though, appreciate the input.

Hmm

Well the song definitely has potential. It would be awesome to hear it with real instruments. The song itself is rather well written, simple for the most part, but effective. The vocals weren't the best as it sounded like you had to whisper. The lyrics were decent, but a bit too much rhyming for my personal taste. Overall you did quite a good job writing the tune, and hopefully you'll be able to do a version with real instruments.

malkavianxx responds:

yeah... man I gotta get out of my parents house. I'm embarrassed singing loud about zombies and ghosts. as for the rhyming, that was what I was going for, although I think it might be better in an iron maiden style song as opposed to this manson/NiN wannabe thing hehe

Well

Your drums were too quiet again. Other than that nothing to really say about the short tune.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

but you could hear the guitar, right?lol.

Thanks man. Just celebrating Tuesdays' mass 0 voting day!!1

Holy shit........

Man I haven't seen you around in fucking ages!!!!!!! You sound is definitely a lot better than it was before. I have to agree with Darkside about the kickdrums being really low in the mix. Your riffs were kicking ass and your tone is a lot clearer than before. Overall this is still a cool tune. So what are you recording through now? Hope to see you keep submitting man.

Metalholic115 responds:

It's good to be back, lol. What I'm doing now is playing my guitar through a zoom 505-ii multi fx, using the "distortion" setting as opposed to the "metal" setting, because the distortion sounded crunchier. I recorded the rhythm guitar twice on this track, and put each recording on each channel(left and right), so it sounds more meatier and in your face. Expect more from me soon dude. Thanks for reviewing. Getcha pull!

If any flash author's want some custom music for their flash just let me know. I'd be more than happy to try and help you out.
