Nice

Sounds like you're using EZDrummer. Am I right? Anyway all around a pretty cool track. The leads were just a bit loud, but the rhythm sat nicely. You've gotten better at playing leads as well. When I first say this I was wondering who the hell used "of DEATH!!!!!!" hahahaha.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Right you are, Speedy! I'm not sure what speakers you have, but on my headphones, or stereo, I still felt like I could turn up the leads a little more. Then, when I got to work and listened to it on my shitty desktop speakers..the leads were way too loud.
Anyways, glad you liked it, and I HAD to use the "of DEATH!!!!!!. Its my favorite part of a title. Paying a little respect to the creator. hahaha.

Practicing my ass off at leads and shit. I'm practicing sweep picking now. I don't like it. I'm a big unco-ordinated gorilla. But the final product sounds so amazing. Anyways, sorry for the long response. Haven't yakked atcha in a while.

Thanks again man\m/

Hahaha

Pretty damn funny man. The vocals could use a bit of compression to even out the levels a bit, but I could still hear them pretty well. All around a funny tune.

Bezman responds:

Thanks for the tip & feedback! Glad you enjoyed.

Maybe I'll animate to this one day...

Hmm

Well it does have an eighties metal sound. Though the leads are too good for a lot of eighties metal bands haha. Overall not bad, but it could use some mixing, and some new drum samples.

mhb responds:

yeah i hear ya man. it could use a lot of shit. but alas, i suck at mixin' and everything else. thanks for the compliments on the leads though.

Damn

I'm always amazed at the stories you come up with that go behind the music. I really don't know how you do it, but it's quite awesome. Anyway onto the song. The intro is quite nice with the choir and slow percussion. Not to mention the birds. You really put those bird samples to great use. The string melody also helps to set the mood nicely. Then there's the faint bells which I really liked.

At about 1:00 is where I'd have to say my favorite section is at. With the bells picking up and the strong string melody this section really catches your attention. It builds up nicely into that softer/calmer section. Where the bells really stand out the and strings pull back some. Then it all closes with the strings and those awesome damn bird samples.

I must say, this is a great song. You used dynamics really well throughout the song to help the mood, and that's not always easy to do from my experience, at least for me. Well Maestro, I really enjoyed the song. Keep at it as usual, oh, and sorry I don't get around to reviewing your songs more. I can be quite lazy most of the time.

MaestroRage responds:

The stories are quite simple let me assure you my good sir ;). But it is even in the simplest stories that you can find the most brilliant feelings. It is not just the story I want to tell, but to let the listener feel what needs be felt, and that is what drives me to keep going.

The bird samples are indeed quite high quality, I am lucky to have found them.

My favorite part is 1:00-1:30 too :D. I should have made it longer :/...

This piece was in fact a great learning piece for me. Better interaction of instruments, better dynamics as you pointed out. Hopefully in time, I will be able to truly make the instruments speak.

Don't worry about the reviewing, I know exactly what you mean, and suffer from the same condition myself. Thank you greatly for the review, I truly appreciate it.

I'm glad you liked it ^^.

Nice

Some cool riffs man, plus it doesn't sound thin. Definitely an improvement. The drums were alright, but could use just a bit of spicing up. Maybe try some tom rolls here and there. That's about all I can really say. Should be a cool tune when you finish it.

Metalized responds:

thx dude!! glad that u heard some improvement!! yeah i didn't put much time on the drums on this sample, but i'll try to make them more special when the full version comes \m/ thx again for the review! \m/

Hmm

Your playing is nice and tight, and the riffs themselves were pretty cool, but it all sounds a little thin. You should maybe try boosting some of the lower frequencies on the drums, especially the snare and kicks. Something like 200hz-800hz. That would add more bass and make it sound a bit thicker. Just make sure not to overdo it. Other than that, pretty kick ass track.

Metalized responds:

appreciate some critics, thx for the advise! and thx very much for the review man!! keep on rockin \m/

Not bad

Pretty catchy tune. Though it's not very long. It would have been cool to hear you expand on the idea, but since it's so short it would sound odd being extremely diverse. If you worked on it more you could probably make it into a decent length tune while still keeping it interesting. Overall not too bad though, keep it up.

R-VeeBee responds:

Thanks, dude!

Yeah you're totally right. But this was more of a test. But I'll someday make a longer version of it (when I have the guts for it heheh).

See ya

haha

Someone has been listening to Pantera a lot lately. Most of the riffs sound really influenced by Dimebag. The drums were done well as they fit the groove well. Could use a little more mixing since a few areas crackle a bit. All around though not bad.

Xenogenocide responds:

Spot on ;D

It is actually based around the beat on 'Revolution is my name'.

I originally did this for experimentation purposes.

Not bad

The buzzing was a little annoying at first, but you get used to it. You should probably try and fix it though. The song itself was pretty cool. The riffs were played pretty well, and sounded good. The thing that was lacking were the drums really. They were really quiet. The fills you used didn't seem too bad, but it would have been cool to hear a bit more diversity from them. All around a cool track man. Keep it up.

xmnhx responds:

Thanks. I'm really not sure why the buzzing is there. I'm still trying to fix that and when I do I will update it. I'm also going to make the drums louder and I might add a few new more diverse riffs.

Hahahahaha

You do a great Kermit man. Your kids must love this. Pretty cool overall, but there were some clipping issues. A bit more mixing and this would be perfect. Definitely getting a kick out of the intro.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

hehe, yeah kids are cool.

Clipping...Damnit!! I forgot the final mastering step:S. I've gotten to the point now, with the final stages, that I don't even need to preview my own shit before the almighty submit button. All the steps and settings are there. If I could just get my old ass brain to remember that shit...haha.

Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the review, man\m/

If any flash author's want some custom music for their flash just let me know. I'd be more than happy to try and help you out.
