Good job

I liked this one too but it isn't as good as the others.Overall the sound was nice and your playing was good.Toward the beginning I thought you were about to go into a really quick flamenco lick but you I was wrong.

The reason the eight is because I was hoping it would be a bit longer and a bit more diverse.Still though nice ending.

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review dude!

Sweet

I like this one a little more than the first.I really liked when you went into the arpeggios that sounded really nice and smooth. You didn't hit anything to hard so the sound was good throughtout.Great tune.

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks again dude -- I'm always happy when people take interest in my other-genre stuff, besides my natural inclination toward progressive rock/metal.

These three were actually one unified piece, but I had to split them to get them on NG under the filesize requirement. There were just sort of natural section breaks in the piece though that made it easily divisible.

Good job

You played it well and it sounded very nice. You should do Paganini's Fifth Caprice hehehe.Very nice piece of music you have here.I'm glad you didn't add to much chorus because that would have made it bleed together.Good job I nearly listened to the final movement first hahaha.

Also will I be hearing any really heavy Symphony X type songs out of you?

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks again for the review dude.

I actually LOVE Symphony X -- possibly my favorite band. I'll see if I can muster up some compositions that sound like them. (I have a couple of midi songs that are heavily drawn from them -- I'll probably play one of them with live guitar to give it a fuller sound. That should probably do it.)

So great to find another person in the universe who likes Symphony X. Really an underappreciated band.

Nice

I didn't really get a Vai feel but it was still nice.It reminds me of another player but I just can't remember his name at the moment.Anyways good job.

What kind of acoustic are you using?

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review dude! I really appreciate it.

The guitar is an Ibanez acoustic/electric Artwood 300 (I think... I don't remember if it's 100, 200, 300 or what not) -- gorgeous guitar with spruce top and flamed maple back. Really distinctive looking and a real deep chamber.

Pretty good

Some of your chords sounded a little harsh because you really dug in on a couple of them but overall it was pretty good.

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks dude -- yeah, I may have been a little too close to the mic for that also. The playing technique is there, but the recording technique I think still needs a little work on my part.

Great playing

This was done really well.I don't listen to much jazz but I like some. You wrote a very nice tune here. It's harder to play with a clean tone cause mistakes show through but I didn't really here any.Great job man.

TritoneAngel responds:

Dude, you're excellent -- thanks for the compliment.

I frankly didn't expect anyone to be interested in the slower jazz stuff, but I think it allows for a little more harmonic and melodic creativity that some other genres. It's something that I was encouraged in very early in my guitar development so I think it's good to nourish it from time to time.

Thanks again for the reviews, I appreciate it.

Sounds good

What are you using to record?Overall your tone was nice and your guitar sounds great.Keep it up man you sem to be a good player.

Also you've been posting like crazy man.I have a lot of reviewing to do.

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks a lot man!

The guitar is an Ibanez RG1570 (I think it was called a 570 when I bought it), pewter grey with stock pickups. The amp is a Line 6 Spider (1st edition), using the amp's delay/reverb effects.

The mic is a Shure SM-57 pencil mic, placed approximately 3-5" from the center of the speaker cone. My midi/audio input is a Tascam US-122.

The program I'm using for now is Cubasis (LE??), but I'll soon be graduating to the full Cubase.

[On second thought, I may have recorded this particular track or others straight into Total Recorder... but I think this one was done with the full above set up.]

Thanks again for the review dude! Keep 'em comin'.

GoreBastard responds:

Cool! I actually learned this one by ear. I had the Snes Emulator on and put the round time on infinate. Then I just listened to it for ages. Some parts are out a little bit, but it still sounds fucking cool.
