Cool tune

Nice to see you again man, been quite a while. You've got a solid tune here, and it's even got a breakdown, haha. Wasn't quite expecting it but, it fits in really well. Your kicks sound nice, along with the cymbals and the snare. Though the snare could be a bit smoother sounding on rolls. Outside of that I have no complaints. Damn fine playing.

So this was why you were practicing the higher black metal type vocals. 'Tis a cool tune. Your voice is sounding good all around. Though you sound like your forcing the higher vocals a little bit and losing power on them. Next time I catch you online I'll send you a video with some vocal exercises in it. Angels did a badass job on the music as usual. The drums are well done and the solo was great. He's too damn good at writing songs, hahaha.

Haha, thanks man. I tried to mail you portions of this song a bunch of times but I was having email fucking issues. Dammit. Anyways, I really wasn't running out steam...I had to spread the black metalish vocals out over a couple days, cause they really were hard on my regular growling.
But yeah, would definitely appreciate the video. haha. Did I tell you, we almost had to go to that place near you, to retrieve a certificate for the welder that did the frame on the truck. It would have sucked, cause I would have had no way to get a hold of you. I should really get your particulars one day. We may make a habbit of jouneying into the states for vehicles.

Anyways, fuck...Angels is a wicked songwriter. You and him are my favorite.

Despite it being entirely Guitar Pro sounds, I actually kind of like it. The song itself would be great in a game and is pretty catchy. Keep it up man.

Hmm

Sounds a lot like Bulb/Periphery. Nice to see you playing with time signatures as well. The quality is pretty damn good I must say, you've tweaked the POD really well. Your drums also have nice compression on them. All around nothing I can really complain about. It would be cool to hear some vocals for it though. Nice to see you submit something again.

Pretty good

There are a lot of cracks in the tune, but that can be fixed easily by lowering the master channel. The vocals are pretty good, but have too much reverb on them for my liking. I'd pull it back a bit and throw some compression on them if you already haven't. The drums sound good and the guitars are done well. The mix could also use so more kick. You could try using a multi-band compressor if you've got one to really give it more volume and power without letting it clip. Still though all around good job man.

For the reverb, it's like in the original (during the chorus).

Wow

This sounds fucking awesome man. Honestly though I get more of a powermetal feeling from it. I'm not sure if it's the leads or just the song in general, but I definitely think with some high pitched soaring vocals this would be fucking perfect. Your playing is really great on this track as well. You've improved a lot since I first heard you. This is damn impressive man. I can't believe I missed it.

I like how it sounds so far. I like the synths you're using they blend quite well with the guitars. I would try and add some power chords at the beginning though and reverse them to have them lead into the palm muted riff that first comes in. if that makes sense. Anyway I'll definitely be looking forward to the full version.

Nice

I pretty much agree with Badman on this one. This song has a lot of potential and would sound quite amazing with an actual guitarist playing it. Even though it's pretty short it sounds like a lot of work was put into it. Also it'd be nice to hear a bit more of the snare. Though in the end I like it quite a bit man, keep it up.

Wow, I had no idea you could sing. Not only the quality of the recording, but your voice fits quite perfectly. The lyrics seem to be written very well so I compliment you on that one. I also love your piano. Whatever one you used sounds very good. Especially when your playing the soft intro. It actually makes me want to practice more, haha. Your drums sounded excellent in the mix I'd say. Not too loud or too quiet. I think I'd have thrown a bit more reverb on the snare, that's more of a personal preference though. The synth guitars actually sounded pretty damn good. I still would have gotten a guitarist to record for you, but hey, that's your choice. The strings provide a rather nice backing to it all and never really overpower.

All around it's a really good song. I hope to hear more songs from you with vocals.

Well the song itself is pretty good, but it sounds somewhat small. Your sound as a whole needs to be beefed up. Your drums could use some more punch and your guitars sound too dry. The sweeping you were doing was also too quiet I'd say. The vocals are actually recorded quite well. I'm guessing it was you? It's overall a nice performance, but it could use some more tweaking I think.

Thanks for the advise! I actually had to cut down alot of the frequencies between 100hz and 350hz to make the vocals stand out, resulting in a lack of punchiness. The compressor I'm using is digital, so naturally it sounds thin (unfortunately).

I'm going to upload the instrumental version which sounds more full since vocals were not added. Be sure to check it out and see the difference! Again, thanks for the review!
