[Approach the Flames]

Not bad

The beginning sounds pretty badass, then when it kicks in with the drums it had a nice feel to it. I do think your could have had a bit more low end in the song, and a bit more diversity, but in the end I liked it.

Pretty cool

The only bad thing about this tune is that you really can't hear the drums much at all. I can hear the cymbals, but the kicks are almost non-existent, and the snare isn't that loud either. The guitar was pretty fucking cool though, and your vocals sounded pretty good. The tune could use some mixing for sure, but it was cool nonetheless. The low overall score is purely because I couldn't hear the drums.

I'm glad to see you had the time to post up something new man. Hopefully you'll get the chance to work on some more shit sometime soon.

I agree with Rucklo, the mixing kind of blows in this tune. Other than that though you have a decent song. Some nice riffs and the drums were pretty simple, but they worked well. Overall it's good but it could use a real overhaul as far as mixing/mastering goes. Oh yeah, you also played everything really well.

I would have liked to do everything with instruments on this song, But I couldn't get my band together in time. I wrote the tune ages ago, but I never really got around to recording it. And now that I finally have, I don't think it turned out as well as it could have if I'd spent a bit more time on it. I've kind of lost my edge at mixing for the while, But I promise I will learn and practice again. Anyway, Thanks for your opinions, They're always helpful.

Damn

I really love the sound of this. The percussion is nice and powerful without drowning anything out. The bongos were a nice touch as well. Your instruments all sounded fantastic especially that choir.I wish I could give some advice to improve it, but I really can't think of anything that'd make this better.

You really nailed those arpeggios man. I'm trying to think who this reminds me of, but I just can't remember. Well at any rate you are a very talented musician. I can sweep, but not that well.

As much as I liked the guitar I really didn't like the drums. They were too simple and straight-forward, which I kind of expected since the focus is on the guitar playing. Maybe throw in some more kick drum rhythms. Well anyway I really liked the song, and your one bad motherfucker on a guitar.

Just out of curiosity can you sweep tap?

Pretty sweet riff you have going here. I liked the beat you had going with the drums as well. The sound effects in the background are a nice touch, and overall this sounds pretty badass.

I was rather happy with how this turned out. You really came up with a great rhythm track for the tune. I can't rally say too much since I don't want to sound like a douche complimenting myself on the drums haha. Anyway thanks for the bitchin' rhythm track.

I'm glad you managed to fit something on NG man. I'm guessing this one is all you since you don't submit your bands tunes on here. Anyway the death metal vocals were pretty good, but the clean ones sound quite bad. No worries though I have a terrible singing voice as well. You've definitely improved your death metal vocals though.

The music was great I must say. Great heavy riffs, and the drums you sampled from your drum machine sound great. Anyway all around a kick ass tune my friend. Glad to see you submit again. I'll try and catch you on MSN later.

Yeah like I said on msn it could use some mixing, but other than that awesome job. Defifnitely like the new sound and you did a great job of pitching your guitar down to sound like a bass. It must have taken you forever. That is of course if you weren't just fucking with me haha. Anyway man cool fucking tune.

Not bad

Though it could use a lot of mixing. Are you recording direct or with a mic? It sounds like you're using a mic since your guitar sound is pretty distant on the rhythm track. You should definitely multi-track the guitars and pan them. That'll help beef up the tone a lot. If you can next time throw a multi-band compressor onto the final mix and play with the settings. It'll really help to make the track more present.

As far as what you were playing I really liked it a lot. Your leads were pretty sweet and from what I could hear your rhythm fit well.
