Nice man

Fuck, it's been a while since I've seen you. I'm liking the tune, especially your vocals. It's also nice to hear you do some more leads in your tunes again. If I was to complain about something, it'd be that the kicks were a bit hard to hear when they weren't going full-blast. Other than some mixing this is good shit.

BuryYourFace responds:

:) hey bro nice hearin from you again bro. man.... i tried my HARDEST on the vox but you know how it goes noone likes it except for people that know how hard it is to do vox. As for LEADs- yeah man im tryin to get back to my seriousness but also trying to make a difference. Everyone loves hard ass leads... im just showing how easy it is to make leads and how awszome easy leads can sound awesome. if you want some awesome shit done it isnt that hard at all. + if the song isnt your genre then you are in the wrong section of NG. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. if you make music and it is rated low it doesnt mean your music sucks at all.... im sure your music is very br00tal but you also have to keep in mind that there are little kids that are rating our music. and they dont like our genre. and when people like mainstream genres they refuse to listen or read. So its ok. keep submittin, there are people out there that still listen no matter what. Nice

Great playing man. 'Tis always nice to see/hear someone who takes time to improve their skills. You're quite talented. How long have you been playing? Anyway, I really enjoyed it.

Kor-Rune responds:

One year I've been playing, thanks for the review!

Cool

This sounded pretty damn good. You did really well with the drums and cowmeat did a great job with the music. I can't find anything to complain about.

Sonofkirk responds:

w00t ! A 10 from U !! I'm glad you liked it !!
I think cowmeat or me will add a guitar track to add some brutality !
Keep on fuckin' mother rocker !

Wow

Your voice never ceases to amaze me. You are damn talented. I'll be looking forward to see what you put out when you're finally able to get a nice condenser mic. I really can't think of anything negative to say that you aren't already aware of, great job.

LadyArsenic responds:

^ ^ Thank you very much for your supporting words. I really do try. We're planning on getting a good microphone for me very soon. Please visit www.symphonyofspecters.com and check us out! It would help a big deal!

Hmm

The guitar panned to the right sounded a lot louder than the one to the left, so it threw me off somewhat. It you fixed the mixing it wouldn't be so odd. The playing sounded decent enough though. Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but you misspelled Destroy.

Zyclon responds:

oops. I missed that. Haha. Must be my dyslexia as bad-man has pointed out. I must be deaf in the right ear. That would explain why it's louder in the right than the left too, Or it could just be that I didn't notice cause of the crappy speakers.

Thanks for the review man. I'll talk to you online soon.

Wow

I really enjoyed listening to that man. Your mixing has gotten better as well, I'm liking the more balanced sound. The song is fairly simple, but definitely effective. I can only think of one thing I'd add, and that would be clean singing during that clean section up to about the three minute mark. In a somewhat similar style the bassist from Dimmu Borgir. I really thought it would have fit well there. Anyway, loved the track man, this one is getting downloaded.

Goatchrist responds:

Well, I thought of that, but my clean voice is....well, trash :P

Thanks for the detailed review dude. Glad you enjoyed it!

Hmm

You did a fantastic job writing it, and the playing sounds spot on. I also loved the samples you used for the crows and thunderstorm. I think it may be the mixing that is a little off. It's not anything serious, I just think the distorted guitars starting at around 2:16 are a bit too dry until it gets to about 2:44. They just sound too different to my ears. Since everyhting else seems to have more reverb, they just stick out too much. Other than that it was badass, and I'll deinitely be looking forward to the second part.

Sonofkirk responds:

Yeah, I was very inspired ... The samples are from a site called "Freesoud", it's pretty cool. About the distorted guitars, you're right. Actually, I wanted to have a less powerful distortion, I mean softer. Yes, I've had some reverb to generate a different sound at the end.
Anyway, thanks for your excellent review, dude.

hahaha

It's a bit hard to make out some of the lines, but it was still quite hilarious. Hopefully there will be some more shit like this from you. You've still got some brutal lows.

CyriltheWolf responds:

My cousin's voice is filling out to. Oh yes, the brutality will ush forth sometime. XD

Cool

Haha, there were a few melodies that reminded me of Dragonforce, but the bulk of the song was pretty different. Mostly your soloing. Hopefully you'll decide to finish it at some point. It's a pretty cool tune.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks!

Good job

All around a solid performance, but it could use some more tweaking. The biggest problem I'd say I have is that the tune sounds a lot thinner than when listening to the instrumental. It gets a bit better when I use my headphones though. It just lacks a bit of the punch it had. The vocals themselves are well sung, and you've definitely got a badass voice, but they could have been a bit tighter. They just seemed a little loose to me in spots. It might have been that they were too close together though. A bit of panning may have fixed it, but I'm not entirely sure.

I really do like the tune though man. The more I listen the more it grows on me. You also did really well with the lyrics. I'll definitely be looking forward to more tunes with your vocals on them.

I also had a question for you, what vocal exercises did you do to get your upper register sounding so damn powerful?

XxCRUCIFIEDxX responds:

Thanks man, I can always count on you for keeping it real bro. \m/

I use cool edit pro the last version so I have to compress the heck out of it. to make it uploadable, the master track I have is very rich and the levels are almost perfect but that's the problem with multi tracking sometimes. I wish I had an Apple computer for recording.

I am a second generation vocalist so some of it is genetic but I run my scales very loosely but strictly. You know hitting that high is just control of the throat and chest really. I used to over project but after lots of practice I found less push and more control of the note brought a better sound and kept it sounding loud. Remember less is mostly always more. Do you sing?

If any flash author's want some custom music for their flash just let me know. I'd be more than happy to try and help you out.
